    Expertise

    Caroline Frison-Roche enjoys significant experience in multi-jurisdictional disputes. 

    She advises primarily listed companies in complex and technical litigations before all French courts, in particular commercial, civil and administrative courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings and Dispute Boards. 

    She has also developed a strong expertise in regulated sectors, including the telecommunication sector, while advising one of the four French telecom operators in proceedings raising issues of unfair competition law, regulatory law, fundamental rights and European law. 

    She has also acquired an expertise in complex construction disputes, mainly relating to major building projects (hospital, factory etc.). She intervenes in a wide variety of litigation cases, involving issues such as contract and tort matters. 

    She also advises clients on their contractual dispute resolution policies and on the alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to be implemented in their contractual documents. 

    Caroline has been a lecturer at the University of Paris II (Panthéon-Assas), and University Paris I (Panthéon-Sorbonne) for several years in special contract law and in introduction to law with the Professor Denis Mazeaud and the Professor Muriel Fabre-Magnan. 

    Admitted to the Paris bar in 2014, she joined ADVANT Altana the same year.

    Client Matters

    Proceedings before the Paris Court of Appeal between mobile operators for unfair competition in respect of an allegedly illicit practice (financial stakes of 812 million euros). 

    Proceedings before the administrative courts challenging a penalty imposed on a listed company operating in a highly competitive sector by a French administrative authority, with regard to consumer price information obligations, and legal proceedings brought by a competitor on the basis of this administrative penalty (financial stake of 400 million euros). 

    Counsel in an ad hoc arbitration between two leading construction companies concerning the termination of two subcontracting contracts for the construction of a hospital - as well as the subsequent legal proceedings - and counsel in a Dispute Board and then ICC arbitration between a major French construction company and a Moroccan state-owned company.
