    Expertise

    Victoria Aquino specializes in litigation and dispute resolution processes including arbitration, mediation and dispute board, which involve financial and technical claims relating to major infrastructure and civil engineering projects.

    She also assists clients in negotiating and drafting all major construction and consultancy contracts, as well as bespoke contracts. Victoria has a particular knowledge of FIDIC and NEC engineering and construction contracts.

    Victoria is a lecturer in “international construction contracts” at the University of Paris II Panthéon Assas, Master 2 in Real Estate and Construction Law.

    She is co-founder and member of the Society of Construction Law (SCL) France.

    Admitted to the Paris bar in 2014, she joined ADVANT Altana the same year.

    Victoria holds a Master 2 in Real Estate and Construction Law (University of Paris II Panthéon Assas) and a MSc in Construction Law and Dispute Resolution (King’s College London).

    Client Matters

    Advises a consortium of contractors in the framework of two contracts for the construction of sea dykes for the construction of a highway in Reunion Island (financial stakes in the range of €400M). 

    Assists a European Economic Interest Group in several arbitration proceedings relating to the construction of a dam and its water intake gallery in a North African State (financial stakes in the range of €400M).

    Assists a Portuguese entity, leader in the renewable energy sector, as part of its expansion program in Europe and of construction of solar and wind farms in France, in drafting contracts in compliance with the Group’s contractual policy as well as with the French regulation and the French construction market.
