    Intellectual Property trainee - S2 2027

    YOUR TASK

    Our IP, IT & Data team, recognized by Chambers and Legal 500, advises French and international clients on all aspects of intellectual property rights (trademarks, patents, designs, copyright, domain names, know-how, trade secrets, unfair competition, and free-riding) and personal data.

    The team, composed of four shareholders (Laura Morelli, Pierre Lubet, Jean-Guy de Ruffray, Armand Aviges) and four associates, works across a variety of sectors, including luxury goods, fashion, media, entertainment, technology, healthcare, the automotive industry, artificial intelligence, and the digital environment.

    As a law clerk, you will be fully integrated into the team and will participate in strategic and international cases:

    • Drafting legal documents: legal opinions, memoranda, briefs, closing arguments, summonses, and draft agreements
    • Intellectual property litigation: infringement claims, unfair competition, free-riding, domain name disputes (UDRP, SYRELI), and administrative litigation before French and European trademark offices
    • Negotiating and drafting agreements: trademark and patent licenses, coexistence agreements, technology transfers, R&D agreements, distribution agreements
    • Assisting with legal due diligence conducted in connection with M&A transactions
    • Conducting complex legal research in French, European, and comparative law, particularly on emerging topics (AI, Data Act, Web3)
    • Regulatory monitoring and analysis of French and European case law

    YOUR PROFILE

    • Education: Law student or Master’s degree (2nd year) or higher
    • Specialization: Intellectual and industrial property, new technology law, and data protection law
    • Experience: Prior experience at a law firm specializing in intellectual property and/or data protection is required
    • Language Skills: Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken)
    • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, analytical and synthesis skills, excellent writing skills, responsiveness, creativity, independence, and teamwork skills
    • Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and major legal databases (Lexis360, Dalloz, INPI, EUIPO, and WIPO databases)
