ADVANT Altana protects the privacy of its Customers, Prospects and Users by complying with the laws in force, in particular those concerning the protection of Personal Data.

Purpose and legal basis of Personal Data processing
The processing of Personal Data by ADVANT Altana may have as its legal basis the consent of Users, Customers or Prospects, the fulfilment of ADVANT Altana's legal obligation(s), the performance of the contract as well as its legitimate interest.
ADVANT Altana collects and processes the Personal Data communicated on the Website in order to be able to, in particular:
ensure the operation and security of the Website;
compile the statistics required to improve the Website, its services and functionalities;
respond to questions and requests sent by the User via the email address contact@advant-altana.com;
process the received applications;
send Users the ADVANT Altana newsletter by email ;

Recipients of Personal Data
ADVANT Altana is responsible for the processing of Personal Data collected as part of its services and on the Website.

ADVANT Altana is therefore likely to transfer Customers' Personal Data to law firms not located in the territory of the European Union whenever the transfer is necessary for the performance of the contractual relationship between the Customer and ADVANT Altana or whenever the transfer is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defense of the Customer's legal rights, in accordance with Article 49 e) of the RGPD. ADVANT Altana may also be required to transfer data under the conditions of Article 48 of the RGPD, where permitted by an international agreement or mutual legal assistance treaty.
Retention and Security of Personal Data
5.1 Retention period for Personal Data
Personal Data is kept for the time strictly necessary to manage the relationship between ADVANT Altana and its Customers, Prospects and Users. The length of time personal data is kept depends on the purposes for which it is collected and processed.
ADVANT Altana may also retain Personal Data for a longer period in order to comply with its legal obligations.

5.2 Hosting of Personal Data
The Personal Data processed by ADVANT Altana is hosted by SAS OVH located at 2 rue Kellermann BP 80157 59100 Roubaix (www.ovh.com).
5.3 Safety measures
ADVANT Altana undertakes to take all appropriate measures to preserve the confidentiality and security of Personal Data, and to protect them against loss, misappropriation, unauthorized disclosure, alteration or destruction.
ADVANT Altana employees who, due to their position, have access to Personal Data undertake to maintain the strictest confidentiality in this respect.
Aware of the confidential and sometimes highly sensitive nature of the information and Personal Data entrusted by its Customers, and of the trust implicit in the relationship between the latter and ADVANT Altana, ADVANT Altana ensures the security and confidentiality of its Customers' personal data, as well as that of Prospects and Users, by implementing a technical and organizational security system.
ADVANT Altana implements measures to prevent data, including Personal Data, from being distorted, damaged, destroyed or disclosed to unauthorized third parties.
In particular, ADVANT Altana implements all necessary security measures to ensure that sensitive data collected in connection with certain pre-litigation and litigation matters is not lost, damaged or accessed by unauthorized third parties. Access restrictions are in place within the firm itself, and staff not subject to attorney-client privilege have limited access to it, and are subject to reinforced confidentiality obligations. In addition, this data is structurally stored in a separate system from other data processed by ADVANT Altana.
In its capacity as an independent French firm, all data entrusted to it by Customers, Prospects and Users is stored on servers located in France, and no transfers are made outside the European Union, subject to the occasional transfers mentioned in paragraph 4.
ADVANT Altana's subcontractors have also undertaken, under the same conditions, to implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to guarantee the protection of the personal data of Customers, Prospects and Users.
ADVANT Altana has set up an internal process enabling it to notify the supervisory authority of any proven infringement of the Personal Data processed likely to give rise to a high risk for the rights and freedoms of the persons concerned within the time limits set by the applicable regulations.
Individuals' rights to the collected data
6.1 Relevant rights
Customers, Prospects and Users have a number of rights with regard to the protection of their personal data, in accordance with current regulations.
Some of these rights may not apply where their exercise by the data subject would be contrary to the legitimate interests of the data controller (data required to carry out the work and assignments entrusted to ADVANT Altana as part of the mandates entrusted to it, billing management, etc.).
The right to information
Customers, Prospects and Users have the right to obtain the following information from ADVANT Altana:

Categories of Personal Data collected and processed ;
Recipients of Personal Data ;
Transfers of Personal Data outside the European Union ;
The possibility of knowing about and challenging any automated processing in the event of a decision taken on the basis of such processing and producing legal effects in their regard.
The right to access their Personal Data
Customers, Prospects and Users have the right to obtain from ADVANT Altana the communication of Personal Data concerning them as well as information relating to the origin of the data, except where such a right of access would be contrary to the principles of professional secrecy.
The right of rectification
Customers, Prospects and Users have the right to obtain from ADVANT Altana the rectification, completion or updating, as soon as possible, of any Personal Data concerning them that is inaccurate or incomplete.
The right to erasure
Customers, Prospects and Users have the right to ask ADVANT Altana to delete their Personal Data as soon as possible if its use is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or if they withdraw the consent on which the processing was based.
The right to withdraw their Personal Data
Customers, Prospects and Users have the right to withdraw their consent at any time to the parts of the processing carried out by ADVANT Altana based on that consent.
The right to limitation
Customers, Prospects and Users have the right to obtain from ADVANT Altana the limitation of the processing of Personal Data concerning them when (i) the accuracy of the Personal Data is contested by the Customer, Prospect or Internet User for a period of time allowing ADVANT Altana to verify the accuracy of the Personal Data, (ii) when the processing is unlawful, (iii) when ADVANT Altana no longer needs the Personal Data for the purposes of processing but it is necessary for the Customer, Prospect or Internet User to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, (iv) when the Customer, Prospect or User has exercised his/her right to object.
The right to ask ADVANT Altana for the portability of their Personal Data
Where processing is based on consent, this right to portability allows the Customer, Prospect or User to request to receive Personal Data provided to ADVANT Altana in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and to transmit such Personal Data to another data controller without ADVANT Altana being able to object.
When technically possible, the Customer, Prospect or User may also request that his or her Personal Data be transferred directly to another processor by ADVANT Altana.
The right to object
Customers, Prospects and Users have the right to object at any time, for reasons relating to their particular situation, to ADVANT Altana's processing of their Personal Data, except on compelling legitimate grounds or in the event of processing for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
Customers, Prospects and Users may object at any time to ADVANT Altana's processing of their Personal Data for commercial prospecting purposes.
The right to lodge complaints
In all cases, Customers, Prospects and Users have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale Informatique et Libertés (CNIL) or any other competent local data protection authority, should they consider that their rights have not been respected.
The right to decide what happens to personal data after death
Customers, Prospects and Users have the right to organize the disposal of their Personal Data after their death by transmitting general directives to ADVANT Altana, which ADVANT Altana undertakes to respect. By default, the beneficiaries of the deceased will be able to exercise the rights provided for in this Privacy Policy in the name and on behalf of the deceased.
6.2 Exercise of the relevant rights
To exercise these rights and obtain information, the Customer, Prospect or User simply needs to send a request to ADVANT Altana.
