1,500 people from 70 countries, 80% women, participated at this “Davos for Women” organised at Deauville around the theme “Energizing the World”. “This year’s Women’s Forum that I attended was very interesting,” explained Marianne Franjou, partner at Altana “due equally to the diversity of the women met and the topics discussed”.

Marianne Franjou attended several workshops on the situation of women in the media and the participation of small and large international businesses in humanitarian and social aid projets (particularly in India with Hogan Lovells).
“Thursday evening started with a concert by Barbara Hendricks that was absolutely magnificent,” confirmed Marianne Franjou.
Another highly significant workshop on women’s participation on Executive Boards presented by a partner at Latham Watkins in London confirmed the complexity of nominating female lawyers to Executive Boards. Marianne Franjou then attended a workshop chaired by Valérie Tandeau de Marsac, President of Voxfemina, an association promoting the appointment of women as experts in the media (interviews, articles, etc.).
“We also had the opportunity to have a videoconference with Wided Bouchamaoui, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize and President of the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade and Craftsmanship (the equivalent of the Medef)”, noted Marianne Franjou, “followed by exchanges with a large delegation of Tunisian women whose courage is indescribable”.
