Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2006 and an ADVANT Altana partner, Laura Morelli specializes in French and EU intellectual property law. She is also a certified mediator at the Paris Center for Mediation and Arbitration (CMAP).
Her areas of expertise are trademarks, domain names, patents, know-how, unfair competition and parasitism, copyright law and image rights.
A true partner for your innovation projects, Laura advises you, in both consult-ing and litigation. With a 360° approach, she provides long term support, at the stage of protection, exploitation and defense of your intangible assets. Her approach consists of finding operational solutions, helping you to anticipate risks and settle your disputes quickly. Aware of the economic stakes behind each of your projects, rigor, pragmatism, tenacity and availability are her fundamentals.
Laura has developed a specific experience in negotiating complex research and development agreements, licenses and technology transfer agreements, often within an international context and as part of high stake deals (mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, etc.). She also defines compensation policy for inventor employees.
Laura has solid expertise in clearance searches, in France and in the European Union, and regularly negotiates trademark licenses and coexistence agreements. She advises her clients, both French and foreign companies, in prelitigation and infringement litigation, before French and European IP offices and courts. She also regularly advises them on the transfer of domain names and the infringement of intellectual property rights on social media.
Convinced of the effectiveness of alternative dispute resolution methods, which often allow win win solutions for both parties to emerge without being subject to judicial time frame, Laura has acquired significant expertise in mediation, both as mediation counsel and mediator.
Laura Morelli is a member of the Association of Trade Mark and Design Law Practitioners (APRAM) Board of Directors and INTA.
