Altana advises AG2R La Mondiale and the Matmut Group in their merger

    Paris, June 19, 2018

Altana acted as common counsel to AG2R La Mondiale and the Matmut Group in the context of their merger, which gave rise to notification to the French Competition Authority, for the creation of a leading actor in French and European insurance.

The concentration was unconditionally authorised by the Authority. A very large number of markets were examined in this respect.

Frédéric Manin (partner) and Lucie Giret (counsel) were in charge of the matter. The work was carried out with the legal departments of the two groups, the strategic consulting firm Courcelles and with the support of  Altana's corporate teams  (Gilles Gaillard, partner; Julie Rolet, counsel).
