Altana Advises the Bastide Le Confort Médical Group in Five Acquisitions in France

Paris, August 28, 2017

Altana advised the Bastide Le Confort Médical group in five external growth transactions in France, four in Respiratory Assistance service delivery and one in the online sale of at-home care consumables.

The group, in keeping with its growth strategy to rapidly strengthen its presence in the most promising and profitable sectors, has acquired four companies specializing in respiratory assistance:

• Apnéa Médical and Cardair, located in eastern France,
• Human’air, based in the east of the Ile-de-France and
• Air Médial Santé, established in the southeast.

They generate annual revenues of almost €6 Million and accompany close to 7,000 patients. The Bastide Le Confort Médical group now follows more than 47,000 patients, confirming its position as a key player in the market.

Furthermore, the group finalized the acquisition of Sphère Santé, leader in the online sale of products for urinary disorders, with more than 280,000 clients served since its founding. Sphère Santé generates close to €10 Million in annual revenues.

It should also be noted that the group has become the majority shareholder in Ulimed, a company specialized in enterostomal therapy, with a 51% stake (previously 26%). This company generates €8 Million in annual revenues

With these five acquisitions, the Bastide Le Confort Médical group consolidates more than €23 Million in additional annual revenues. All five transaction were financed by the Group’s new syndicated credit facility announced last July.
