    Shareholder activism in France : a growing threat

    The French legal environment fosters the growth of hostile measures initiated by minority shareholders of publicly-traded companies, with the objective of influencing their strategy and governance.

     

    Jean-Nicolas Soret and Vincent Guilaine analyze this trend and the objectives of these new actors in an article published by The American Lawyer (Focus International, Winter 2017) and entitled "Shareholder activism in France: a growing threat" (January 2017).
