Altana and K&L Gates advised, respectively, Albioma, a listed independent producer of renewable energy (biomass and photo-voltaic power) , and Bio Méthanisation Partenaires (« BMP »), a joint subsidiary of Meridiam and Evergaz, an integrated biogas operator present in France, Germany and Belgium, in the divestment by Albioma to BMP of the group Methaneo, which includes 3 methanisation plants representing an annual production of 20 GWh.
This acquisition is part of Evergaz's vision to build a specialized skills platform in the holding and management of biogas centers in France and in Europe. With these acquisitions, Evergaz's French portfolio now includes 9 methansiation plants, including one under construction. Adding Germany and Belgium, Evergaz now holds and operates 14 biogas plants, for 28 MWe, representing 7 000 Nm3/h of biomethane and 626 GWh PCS produced each year.
For Albioma, this divestment responds to the group's desire to concentrate its activities on solar and thermal energies.
